The problem

We operate very busy cafes in Melbourne and Perth. With the increase in alternative milk demand, we were struggling with available bench space. We needed a milk management solution to remove clutter and improve speed and efficiency.

We chose to install Flo-Smart in all 3 of our cafes. Flo-Smart was the most customisable beverage solution we could find. This was a major factor to us as we needed to retro fit the system into each venue, with different operating environments.

Flo-Smart was the obvious choice as it has a relatively small footprint for the dispenser, with the added benefit of a jug rinser built in. It also allowed us to utilise our existing under bench refrigeration, thus saving us significant upgrade costs.

We also like the option of pairing the system with a chiller, which means we only need to deep clean the system weekly, plus the comfort of knowing that our milk lines are all chilled to the point of dispensing.

After over 12 months using Flo-Smart we are very happy with the reliability of the system and the benefits it has provided us. We have seen significant improvements in reducing customer wait times, especially in very busy periods. Our largest cafe averages over 1,000 coffees per day and Flo-Smart has effectively reduced our need for an additional staff member due to its ease of use and accuracy.

Our baristas love the contactless and seamless dispensing, with pouring accuracy being a major contributor to reducing milk wastage. Conservatively we estimate that Flo-Smart has saved us ~$60k pa in wages and reduced milk waste by ~$15k pa.
